| What sets us apart? |  |
| The Program Management School was created to address the development requirements from the Office of Management and Budget mandate to certify all federal government program and project managers. After completing the training, participants receive the federally-recognized FAC-P/PM certification, which is also recognized to meet the training requirements for the Program Management Professional certification from the Program Management Institute. The Program Management School is a strategic partner in the effort to implement best-in-class program and project management in the Department of Veterans Affairs and throughout government. NOTICE: FAC-P/PM Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Training The VAAA Program Management School has replaced the original Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) courses with an improved Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) course curriculum. Those individuals who have completed two or more (COTS) FAC-P/PM courses but did not finish the training series, still have an opportunity to obtain certification. The PM School has identified two GOTS courses intended to serve as equivalents/substitutions to the original COTS training requirements: Concept Planning (CP) & Development & Implementation (D&I). Therefore, those COTS participants who have only completed two courses will need to register for CP, and then for D&I before completing the Capstone course. Those who require only one more course will need to register and complete the CP course before Capstone. Finally, those who have completed four courses can register for Capstone at any time. |
