Welcome to the Facilities Management School (FMS) of the Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy.  My staff and I are proud and honored to provide a structured, competency-based curriculum to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities management workforce.  We look forward to meeting your training needs in the broad areas of Facilities Operations and Management; Facilities Operations, Maintenance and Engineering; Technology; Energy Management; Safety; Design; Sustainability; Water Efficiency; Project Management; Business, Budget and Contracting; Leadership and Innovation; Performance Measures; and Environmental.  I encourage you to take full advantage of our course and certification offerings to improve or enhance your skills to allow you and your teams to better serve our nation’s Veterans, and their families.

We offer a customized approach to training to help the workforce acquire the specific skills needed to fulfill their job responsibilities.  Through a blend of classroom, computer-based, and on-line training options, FMS provides the workforce with the skills required to efficiently meet the demands of the workplace and to comply with the Federal Buildings Personnel Training Act.  We also offer continuing learning resources for individuals in the FM workforce who need to maintain professional certifications.

As we continue to grow, we will increase the number and types of resources that we offer.  Please take the time to explore the resources on our website and use them to support your professional development goals.  If you are aware of additional resources that we are not currently providing, I ask you to use the FMS feedback button to inform us of these resources.  I assure you that we will evaluate all feedback.

Thanks for visiting.  We are here to meet your training needs so I hope you take full advantage of our offerings.  I wish you the best of luck in your construction and facilities management careers.
