Providing excellent customer service that ensures a seamless process which enhances the overall student experience for training delivered at the VA Acquisition Academy to VA employees and our civilian federal government partners.
The Contracting Professional School provides the VA acquisition workforce with the fundamental courses necessary to obtain the Office of Federal Procurement Policy’s (OFPP) Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) at Levels I, II, and III. In addition, the school offers specialized tracks and electives in areas such as strategic sourcing, federal appropriations law, Lean Six Sigma, and best value source selection, as well as customized courses for targeted training needs. These efforts assist the workforce in obtaining the 80 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) that are required every two years to maintain certification.
The Program Management School addresses the development requirements from the Office of Management and Budget mandate to certify all federal government Program and Project Managers (P/PM). The school’s PM Fellows Program provides participants with a unique professional development opportunity that brings them quickly through entry and mid-level FAC P/PM certification standards. The Program Management Team Workshop is a unique training initiative that has been custom designed for the program leaders and project managers overseeing the mission critical programs and/or project investments. The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) Certification provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to properly execute the COR responsibilities such as acquisition planning, market research, and contract performance management.
The Acquisition Internship School develops future generations of trusted business advisors in contracting for the VA. The school’s Warriors to Workforce Intern Program is designed to prepare severely wounded Veterans for a successful transition into a career as a contract specialist.
The Facilities Management School provides the VA Construction and Facilities Management workforce with a structured, competency-based curriculum in the areas of building operation and management, construction safety and occupational health, fire safety, electrical power generation, HVAC operation and maintenance and many more.
The Supply Chain Management School creates an innovative and high quality academic environment that is the supply chain school of choice for the VA and other federal government agencies.
